Dear New Homeowners,

Congratulations, and welcome to your new home. 

My journey with this cottage began in 2003 when I became a part-owner through a Tenants in Common arrangement, alongside two sisters who lived in the front building. It's been a privilege to witness the evolution of our community into the vibrant neighborhood it is today.

One of the cottage's most remarkable features is its sense of retreat and security, nestled behind a metal gate that keeps it concealed from the bustling world outside. Waking up to the serene sound of birds and enjoying morning coffee on the southern-facing back deck, bathed in sunlight, has been a daily delight. The deck, a perfect spot for a hammock, has allowed me countless hours of relaxation and reading under the sun.

Our neighbors behind the cottage often share the bounty of their gardens, like fresh figs and lemons, creating a sense of community that's hard to find. The arrival of one of the neighborhood's first coffee shops, Ritual Coffee, marked a cornerstone of local culture. Their dedication to the art of coffee-making and the familiar faces you'll meet there turn a simple coffee run into an engaging community experience, often extending into brunch at Bugalloss.

As an animal lover, having a dog here has been easy. The area offers the perfect backdrop for evening walks to Dolores Park or jogs up to Bernal Summit, where the city unfolds in panoramic views. The culinary scene is ever-evolving, with new restaurants offering endless opportunities to explore and enjoy.

The cottage boasts open ceilings and an open floor plan, ideal for entertaining and creating memorable moments. The loft, accessible by ladder, is a unique vantage point for photography enthusiasts. The basement, which I've used as an artist studio, retreat, and workout room, offers a flexible space to cater to your passions and needs.
